Giroflier essential oil is obtained by distillation from non-flowered flower buds (cloves) whose essential oil content is very high (15-20%). This process consists of carrying the volatile components (the essential oil) of the crushed cloves with the steam. The vapor then condenses in the swarm, separating the essential oils from the hydrolase (water). Its characteristic smell is reminiscent of dental consultations.
