In the effervescence of the late sixties, he fully embraced his dream of freedom in the midst of a convulsed society. Her heart beats to the rhythm of Françoise Sagan's La chamade while she claims equality between men and women and their right to live their own life. Inspired by the famous novel and the energy of a revolution underway, Jean-Paul Guerlain created "his" Chamade , a perfume with character that also challenged the codes of the time. This amber-green floral perfume, dedicated to the emancipated woman, combines for the first time the fruity touch of blackcurrant buds with a dynamic harmony between the hyacinth and galbanum accord, on a vanilla background.
A bold embodiment of the freedom to be and love.
For the first time in perfumery, Guerlain presents in a new formula the green and fruity notes of blackcurrant, refreshed by the green harmony of hyacinth. This symphony is sublimated by the Guerlinade, in which jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood reign with majesty.
Designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1912, its legendary "inverted heart" bottle is enhanced with elegant scrolls inspired by art nouveau. Its avant-garde cap in the shape of a hollowed heart evokes the delicate romanticism of this monument to perfumery, a true technical feat.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
