How to put on the Gina menstrual cup
Putting on a menstrual cup is as simple as putting on a tampon.
Just like the first day you put a tampon in, it was not easy for you, the same thing can happen to you with the cup.
Until you get used to it! So don't be overwhelmed if trying it for the first time doesn't work out.
The material of the Gina de Platanomelón menstrual cup is very flexible, which gives you a lot of play to handle it as you wish and wear it as you like.
The concept is always the same: fold the cup to reduce its size and insert it into your vagina. Once inside, stop pressing your finger so that it opens and does the vacuum effect.
If it's properly positioned, you shouldn't even notice it. If you have any discomfort, do not hesitate to remove it, clean it and put it back on until it is in place.
Use and maintenance of the Gina menstrual cup
You can wear the glass for up to 12 hours in a row. To give you an idea, you can fly from Madrid to Montreal (Canada) without having to remove your menstrual cup. This is called comfort.
To use for the first time, boil the glass for 10-15 minutes. Store it in the cotton bag that it includes and, before each rule, boil it for 3 to 5 minutes to make sure it is clean.
Next, reduce its size as we have explained in the previous section and insert it until you feel comfortable. In the event that you want to extract it before 12 hours have passed, empty the glass into the bathroom sink and clean it with water and mild soap.
Do this every time you empty the glass. The last time you empty it because your period is over, boil it again (3-5 minutes) to make sure it is free of any residue, and put it back in the bag until your next period.
Gina menstrual cup sizes
There are 2 sizes, one small and one large. It all depends on the state of your pelvic floor. As a general rule and, although there may be exceptions, it is recommended to use the small size for women under 30 years of age who have not had children . If a woman under 30 has had children, it is recommended to use the large size menstrual cup.
In the case of being 30 years old or older, it is recommended to use the large size, with the exception that if you are 30 years old or older but you work your pelvic floor frequently (with Chinese balls and / or Kegel exercises) it is recommended that you use the small menstrual cup.
If you are 30 years old or older and do not work your pelvic floor frequently, whether you have had children or not, it is recommended that you use the large size menstrual cup.

Benefits of using the Salud menstrual cup
In life, health is paramount. A quality menstrual cup like Gina ensures hygiene and intimate health. By not releasing fibers in the vaginal walls and not absorbing the flow, it avoids suffering from Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), of which many women have been diagnosed due to the regular use of tampons.
Saving money
On the other hand, the Gina menstrual cup has a cost of € 16.99. It is an investment that, if you take good care of it, lasts up to 10 years. Which means that you spend € 0.14 per month .
If we turn to pads and tampons, the economic outlook changes radically: in Spain, a box of pads or tampons costs approximately € 4. If on average we spend 1 box per rule, it means that for 10 years we spend 120 boxes, which, in euros, is € 480. So if you bet on the menstrual cup, you save € 463.
Ecological
The wear and tear of pads and tampons is over with the menstrual cup. Think that only one woman, each month spends at least 12 pads / tampons. In Spain we are 23 million women. Imagine a mountain of all the pads / tampons that we use all together in just one day ...
With the menstrual cup there is no residue beyond the box it comes in.
All are advantages!
