The three probiotic strains selected in Vilardell Digest Probisec come from two species of Lactobacilli: Lactobacillus acidophilus (BIFOLAC® 5) and Lactobacillus rhamnosus (BIFOLAC® PB01) and one species of Bifidobacteria: Bifidobacterium animalis spp Lactis (BIFOLAC® 12). Studies carried out with these strains have shown beneficial effects on the reestablishment of normal intestinal function after diarrhea associated with the consumption of antibiotics as well as reestablishment of the normal intestinal microbiota. Furthermore, the presence of Zinc contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
